Erich Artlieb

Born in 1952, he has been a practicing Christian for four decades and happily married for 50 years. He has three adult children and four grandchildren. After five decades of development work at VW-Audi-Skoda Spreng in Stockerau, he began a well-deserved retirement at the age of 70. At the age of 55, he began studying history at the University of Vienna and subsequently also completed a bachelor’s degree in art history. In 2003, he co-authored the book With Drawn Sword about Austrian edged weapons from 1848 to 1918. As a sport pilot, angler, and hobby cabinetmaker, his days are well filled. His collection of historical weapons from the Imperial Army emphasizes the artistic and cultural-historical value of the objects, not the weapons themselves.
